Vanta vs Drata vs Sprinto vs AEGIS: 2026 Comparison
Vanta vs Drata vs Sprinto compared on frameworks, pricing, auditors and DPDP support, with where each wins and when AEGIS is the better fit.
Vanta, Drata and Sprinto are the three compliance automation platforms most teams shortlist in 2026. All three automate SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA and GDPR evidence, run a trust center, answer security questionnaires with AI and let you bring your own auditor. They differ on scale, framework breadth, India support and how they price additional frameworks. This guide compares them on facts from their own sites and public pricing data, then shows where AEGIS, our GRC software, fits and where it does not.

Where Vanta wins
Vanta is the market leader on scale. It says it is trusted by 16,000 businesses, lists 400+ integrations and covers 35+ frameworks, including ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, HITRUST and the EU AI Act. It is the best funded of the three, and reviewers often say it is the easiest to start with. If your stack is broad and you want the largest integration library, Vanta is hard to beat.
Reviewers also mention integrations that break, a high volume of emails, and learning "the Vanta way". Vanta does not support India's DPDP Act today; a Vanta staff reply on its community forum suggests building it as a custom framework.
Where Drata wins
Drata has the widest named framework list and a strong trust center. Its frameworks page lists 30+ pre-built frameworks, including DORA, FedRAMP, CMMC, TISAX, NIS 2 and AIUC-1, which matters if you sell to government, defense or regulated EU buyers. Its trust center is built on SafeBase, which Drata acquired in 2025, and it has products for governing AI agents. Drata reports 8,500+ customers and a 4.8 G2 rating, and reviewers rate its support well.
Reviewers mention a steep learning curve and failed tests that are hard to trace to a root cause. Drata does not list India's DPDP Act or the EU AI Act among its frameworks.
Where Sprinto wins
Sprinto is the strongest fit for Indian startups that want hands-on help. It was founded in Bangalore, supports India's DPDP Act natively, and reviewers praise guided onboarding, with one describing being "hand held" through ISO 27001 and SOC 2. It has the lowest median contract value on Vendr of the three, though that rests on a small number of deals.
Reviewers mention limited customization, occasional bugs, a desktop app requirement and pricing that is out of range for smaller teams. Each Sprinto plan includes one framework of your choice, with more added on top.
Pricing: how the per-framework model adds up
None of the three publishes prices, and all three charge more as you add frameworks. Vendr reports that Vanta prices each framework separately and that each Drata framework carries its own licensing cost. Sprinto includes one framework per plan. Vendr's median annual contracts are $20,000 for Vanta, $24,934 for Drata and $15,000 for Sprinto.
That model works if you need one framework for a long time. It gets expensive when buyers keep asking for the next one: SOC 2 for US customers, ISO 27001 for Europe, HIPAA for healthcare, the DPDP Act for India. The audit itself is a separate fee paid to your auditor on every platform.
Where AEGIS fits
AEGIS is built for startups that will need several frameworks and do not want to pay for each one. Every plan, Startup included, gets readiness for all 11 frameworks AEGIS supports: SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27002, ISO 42001, NIST CSF, NIST AI RMF, the EU AI Act, GDPR, India's DPDP Act, HIPAA and PCI DSS. Pricing follows team size, and controls are mapped once, so evidence collected for one framework counts for every framework it maps to.
Gets you compliant: a short security interview produces your controls, policies, risk register, vendor list and evidence backlog in an afternoon, and AI drafts each policy for a person to approve.
Keeps you compliant: connected systems keep collecting evidence after the audit, and a check that cannot run reports "not determined" instead of a pass.
Your auditor, your choice: pick a tier 1, 2 or 3 firm, US-based or India-based, and we help you choose. All three competitors also allow your own auditor; the difference is that we help you match the tier to your buyer.
Security built in: findings from ARGUS, our code security platform, and reports from our VAPT service flow into AEGIS as risks and penetration-test evidence.
When to choose Vanta, Drata or Sprinto instead
Choose Vanta if you need the largest integration library or a framework AEGIS does not cover, such as HITRUST, and you want the most established vendor.
Choose Drata if you sell to government, defense or regulated EU buyers and need FedRAMP, CMMC, DORA or NIS 2, which AEGIS does not support.
Choose Sprinto if you want the most hands-on onboarding for a single framework and value a long track record with Indian startups.
Choose AEGIS if you expect to need several of SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS and the DPDP Act, want them all on one plan, and want code security and pentesting from the same team.
Our take
Vanta, Drata and Sprinto are mature products, and each is the right choice for some teams. If you only need SOC 2 this year and your stack is broad, Vanta or Drata will serve you well. If you are an Indian startup that will sell into the US, Europe and India and expects buyers to ask for a second and third framework, per-framework pricing is the cost to watch, and that is the problem AEGIS is built around. AEGIS is newer and has a smaller integration library, so check that it connects to your stack before you decide.
Frequently asked questions
Is Vanta or Drata better?
Vanta leads on scale and integrations (400+); Drata leads on named framework breadth, including FedRAMP and CMMC, and its trust center. Both are quote-based, price additional frameworks separately according to Vendr, and let you bring your own auditor. Choose on the frameworks and integrations you actually need.
Which is cheapest: Vanta, Drata or Sprinto?
Vendr's median annual contracts are $15,000 for Sprinto, $20,000 for Vanta and $24,934 for Drata, though Sprinto's figure rests on few deals. All three cost more as you add frameworks. AEGIS includes every framework on every plan and prices by team size.
Do Vanta, Drata and Sprinto support India's DPDP Act?
Sprinto does. Vanta does not today, per a staff reply on its community forum, and Drata does not list it. AEGIS supports the DPDP Act and its 2025 Rules alongside SOC 2, ISO 27001 and GDPR.
Can I use my own auditor with these platforms?
Yes. Vanta, Drata and Sprinto all let you bring your own auditor and also offer partner networks. AEGIS does too, and helps you choose a tier 1, 2 or 3 firm based in the US or India.
What are the best Vanta alternatives?
Drata and Sprinto are the closest alternatives, along with Secureframe and Scrut. If per-framework pricing or DPDP support is the reason you are looking, AEGIS includes all 11 of its frameworks, DPDP included, on every plan.
Is Nexus Void itself SOC 2 certified?
Not yet. We are early on our own compliance journey and would rather say so. We can walk your security team through our architecture and controls.
